Hi Sylvester. Thank you for your question. For most vegetables the correct mix is 60% of a good loamy topsoil with 10% horticultural sand and 30% of a good compost high in nutrients. For Carrots and Parsnips the more sandy the soil the better so maybe 15/20% sand mix would be better and less compost
