Hi Connie
The heat bench is great for bringing on all crops. Once they have germinated you can put them in an area off the ground without any heat but plenty of light. The exception to this is the warm weather crops like Tomatoes, Cucumbers, Peppers, Chillies etc. These need to be kept on the bench until temperatures have warmed up enough to plant them in the ground. Normally mid to late March
