I assume the mats can be cut to size fairly successfully?

Hi Alan. You can cut the growgrid mats but I am not sure this is something I would advise. The key to the longevity of the mats (I have been using the same one for 5 years now and can't see why it won't be good for another 5) is the holes and the edges are heat sealed. The fabric itself is a weave so if it is cut it will start to fray. I f you had to cut I would fold 2-3 cm over to create a hem and staple along the edge to keep it tidy. I hope this helps. Andrew
