You could leave the bottom board on the side of the slope off which would mean only the corner posts would have to be dug in. This is what we do when installing them for people. That said if you want to dig in the complete 6ft side you can do that as soil on both sides of the wood is fine. The wood is treated completely to handle soil against it and no need for liners etc.
