...w sick plants, whereas ones planted in ordinary compost in pots have thrived. I'm told I have 'overwhelmed' the soil with organic matter. How do I fix this? Do I need to empty the beds completely :( and just start again with your Veg Soil Mix?

Hi Jane. I am delighted you found our raised beds good. I don't know about overwhelming the soil with organic matter, I don't think this will be the case. I would say it is more likely that either there is a weedkiller present in the soil or it has too much woody material in it (which will use up available nitrogen as it rots down). What consistency was the soil you used? Andrew
