Hi Rachel
As far as i am aware the internal dimensions on the black piping are not the same as the blue piping which means that it is to flexible and as a result not as strong in high winds which is one of the main purposes of the Mini Polytunnels. I can understand why visually you might not want the blue piping in your garden however it is the best we have come across for the job in hand
