Hello I’m seriously considering getting one of these for a family of four. However I am concerned that it could be too big for us in winter as we have no where near 2.5 kg of waste per day. In spring and summer we have more from from grass cutting e... Joraform Compost Tumbler JK270 'Big Pig'

...tc & at other times of year I seem to have lots of veg peelings but lately it would be more like 2.5-5 KG per week which is unusual. Could the joraform be too big and what would the implications be?

Hi Anne Marie
For a family of that size we would normally suggest the JK270 alright. In the winter the composting process slows down a bit anyway so lower levels going in won't be an issue. You could go with the JK125 but in the busy time of the year when your garden and kitchen and giving out a lot more compostable material you may be sorry you didn't go with the JK270
