Hi, can you tell how the joraform composter holds up along the coast. The composter is quite expensive if it would be lost to rust in few years!Do they have a guarantee on the steel?Thanks.

Hi Jill. The Joraform is made from galvanised steel so should not be a problem in a coastal location. I would suggest locating out of the worst weather especially if you have salt laden spray which will help to prolong it's life. We don't have a guarantee on the steel panels but I have seen some very old units still in operation so am confident in their ability to withstand the weather. The only thing I have noticed getting rusty are the magnets that hold the catches closed but this can be remedies with a rub of sandpaper or avoided with a dab of vaseline.
