I think you might be reading old reviews as the Joraform manufacturer has changed how the steel in their units are now treated and the paint they use which seems to have eradicated rust issues. They started doing this about 4 years ago so any reviews older than this may have had this problem. The company was taken over 5 years ago and a lot of improvements to the product have taken place since then
