Hi Alan. It is the nitrogen which creates the heat n the unit so you need to add more nitrogen based material . If you have more grass clippings they will be ideal. Also bear in mind as outside temperatures drop the unit will slow down somewhat, it will still work in Winter but will not be as fast as Summer composting. Composting is all about getting the balance between carbon (wood chip etc..) and nitrogen (grass clippings etc...) right, there is a little bit of trial and error involved depending what materials you have to hand.
