What is the rough weight of soil required for each size? Or how many bags of soil would be needed? Thanks

The smaller one takes 1,850 litres of compost to fill or roughly 2 x tonne bags. The larger one takes 2,750 or just over 3 tonne bags. You can fill the base of the higher beds with gravel to reduce the amount of soil required which can help with drainage. However if you buy good vegetable soil mix it will already have horticultural sand mixed through which sorts out any drainage issues
