...ave to do it gradually ? The barrel seems to be infested with ants, is the hotbin hot enough to kill them off or do I have to discard the barrel stuff ? Thanks, David.

Hi, the Hotbin's max temperature is about 60 degrees celsius, this temperature will kill most species of ant so you should be okay unless your composter is infested with some very specific breeds of desert ants. You can transfer in as needed.
