Hi Liz

I wouldn't use the sleepers beside growing food. Our raised beds are treated with a different substance that is certified by the soil association as fine when growing food but i wouldn't trust what the sleepers are treated with for food purposes. It is perfectly fine to handle and to use with flowers etc but not with food.
