Hello! Does the 8ft long mean there is a board in the middle of the bed?

Is it possible to paint these to be even more hardwearing or would that impede what’s already on them?

Hi there, thank you for your question. There is no problem painting raised beds, it will not effect the preservative used. if growing food crops we would recommend a water based paint e.g Protek water based wood stain & protect.
