Hello, do you recommend digging a trench to put the raised bed in, or can it be placed directly on grass? Thanks

Once the bed is 35cm high or above it is fine to go directly on grass. Below this you can put it on the grass but you just need to turn the sod inside the bed. But on beds 35cm or above the soil it deep enough for the grass not to come up through it and it will die off under that depth of soil
