Is this product definitely water permeable? I bought a similar product and testing it, water remained pooled atop for days afterwards so I had to punch many holes in it which rather undoes the point! Thanks.

Hi there,You mention that they are designed for posts to be dug into the ground but can be modified for placement on a 'hard surface'. Why is a hard surface necessary? Can it not just sit on the ground?Best regardsJoe

In the kit list it states the posts are 4ft but the compost bins are 4ft which suggests they will not be long enough to go into the ground. Should they not be 6ft? If so this means you would also have to level the ground where the bins are to be located....
