One more question: are the liners sized to the external or internal dimensions of the bed, and do you put the bed on top of the liner or the liner inside the bed. And does it need securing? Thanks v much, my first time.

The liners are only necessary for beds that are 9 inches or lower however i wouldn't take any chances if you have a persistent weed so best to use one. They are fitted to the inside of the beds. You build the bed first and then put the liner in
