we are novices using reconditioned heat treated pallet collars .6 x .8 for raised beds. We don't really want to line - is this safe? How do we get liner to fit only the sides of our 'boxes' of varying depths? Would appreciate any advice.

hello, yes they will be safe to use but will probably rot quite quickly with no lining. All raised bed liners are some type of landscaping fabric and can easily be cut to size to fit your raised beds
